Snapshot story: Kashmir railway

[Text and pictures by Fahad Shah]
Passing through the lush green plains of Kashmir Valley, this railway line is spread from Qazigund to    Baramulla (119 kilometres).
Train has been designed particularly for the winter season as the valley has a long spell of winters every year. It is well heated and windows are sealed off with thick glasses.
Apart from having winter friendly design, train interiors are to cater the day travel passengers only. This train is meant for day travel, its without any night travel facilities.
Paddy fields seen from a window. Railway line runs across the agricultural land of peasants.
Well comfortable seating arrangement with arm rests, foot rests, and front panel desk meant for food mainly.
Latest engineering technologies used in train system but the height of train floor from ground is very inconvenient for the commuters.
